Job summary

Iowa 80 Truckstop is seeking Diesel Mechanics for full-time roles at the World’s Largest Truckstop. Starting pay up to $35.00 per hour based on experience, with shift options from 8am to 4pm, 4pm to Midnight, and Midnight to 8am.

Earn a $3.00/hour shift differential (Mon-Fri 4pm-8am) and $6.00/hour on weekends, plus commission opportunities and ASE certification bonuses. Full-time plus benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• At least one full year of experience required.
• Background check – physical – pre-employment and random drug testing
• Have reliable transportation to and from work and valid driver’s license.
• Desire to learn and grow professionally

Shift differential for hours worked between 4pm and 8am of $3.00 Monday through Friday and $6.00 Saturday and Sunday!

Responsibilities

• Must provide excellent service to our customers
• Completes thorough vehicle inspections and documents any needed repairs

Requirements

• At least one full year of experience required.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance on Medium/Heavy Trucks and Trailers including but not limited to: Oil Changes, Lube Checks, Coolant Checks, Fluid Checks, Battery, Belts and Hose Checks, Brake Inspections and DOT (federal annual DOT inspections).
• Diagnose issues and repairs of: HVAC, Starting and Charging systems, Brakes, Engine Cooling, Exhaust, Fuel System, Suspension including alignments, Steering, After treatment (DEF and DPF) systems, Air systems and Electrical systems.
• Work well with a team to provide excellent customer service and promote a positive work environment
• Possess tools to properly perform repairs within our scope of service
• Desire to learn and grow professionally
• Have reliable transportation to and from work and valid driver’s license.
