Summary/Objective
We are seeking experienced diesel mechanics to perform service work on our medium and heavy-duty equipment, at our Deer Park facility. The brands of equipment in use are Guzzlers, Keith Hubber, LEDWELL, NLB pumps, Alkota pumps, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Freightliner are some of the models we have.
The types of equipment in use are but not limited to the following.
Air movers
Vacuum trucks
Hydro-excavators
Roll-off trucks
Chemical circulators
Hydro-blasters and pressure washers
Hydro-blaster shell sides, and X-guns 10K, 20K.
Gooseneck and bumper pull trailers
Pickups F-250s to F-550s
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on all our equipment. Oil, filters, greasing.
Must be able capable of working on 12 and 24-volt electrical systems.
Perform trouble shooting and use of diagnostic computer on Caterpillar, Cummins, and Detroit engines.
Must possess current working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
Must possess current working knowledge of drivetrains, transmissions, transfer cases and rear ends.
Must possess current working knowledge of air brakes, hydraulic brakes, air valves, and related components.
Must possess current working knowledge of hydraulic component systems to properly trouble shoot, PTO's, hydraulic lines, DCV's etc.
Must be competent to perform hydro blasting trouble shooting by diagnosing issues with 10K, 20K, and 40K pump units.
Must be willing to perform any other tasks assigned by the Shop Manager.
Qualifications
Must have a minimum of 3 years' working experience as a diesel mechanic.
Must possess a valid Class A CDL with air brake endorsement.
Must possess a valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement.
Must have a clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
Must have a reliable means of transportation.
Must be capable of passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.
Must be capable of passing random drug screens.
Must be capable of passing a pre-employment criminal background screen.
Physical Requirements
Must be capable of lifting to 50lbs.
Must be physically capable of handling large tools.
Must be capable of climbing on-and-off equipment while ascending and descending a ladder.
Must be capable standing, kneeling or crawling while performing all essential job duties.
Must be willing and capable of working indoors and outdoors in all types of inclement weather conditions to include high temperatures, cool/cold temperatures, wind, ice, humidity, rain, fog, hail, sleet and snow.
Must be willing and capable of working in daylight, twilight, evening and dark lighting conditions.
Must be willing and capable of working with various noises, vibrations, dust, dirt, airborne particles and exhaust fumes.
Must be willing and capable of working variable work hours as required by the business and its needs.
Pay Range: $25 - $35 per hour
