Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a skilled diesel truck technician in Wisconsin to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain company-owned or leased heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment. The role offers a starting pay of $28-$40 per hour with overtime after 40 hours and a 12pm-10pm shift from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing diesel trucks and heavy equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections and diagnose issues on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO, and other components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure fleet readiness.

Job description

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely. Starting Pay: $28-$40/hr. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level. Shift: 12pm-10pm M-F. Overtime after 40hrs.

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
