• Diesel Tech Trainee positions pay weekly
• Hourly pay: $22.14/hour
• Certification bonus of $100 per new ASE certification, up to $700
• Quarterly bonus: up to $500 per quarter
• Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, off Wednesday
• Hours: Second shift, Tuesday–Friday 12:30 pm–9:00 pm, Saturday 7:00 am–3:00 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Up to 1 year of mechanical experience with diesel engines preferred
• Must be 18 or older
• Proficient in English (written and verbal)
• Customer service skills
• Technical aptitude and ability to learn equipment maintenance
• Ability to troubleshoot, work independently and in a team, and represent Ryder professionally
• Good time management and attendance
• Proven performance and accountability
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Beginner knowledge of machines, tools, and shop management systems preferred
• Valid CDL Class A preferred

Regulated Tech Requirements:

• Must obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background check, and motor vehicle check

Additional requirements may vary by location.

Responsibilities include:

• Moving heavy-duty vehicles, vehicle washing, fueling, and recording fuel activity
• Performing multi-point inspections and reporting issues
• Maintaining fuel island area and performing minor facility maintenance
• Completing technician training programs and assessments
