  • Hourly pay: $20.75
  • Certification bonus of $100 for each new ASE certification obtained, up to $700
  • Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Zero to one year of mechanical experience working with diesel engines is preferred
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
  • Customer service skills
  • Strong technical aptitude; ability to learn equipment and machinery maintenance is preferred
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly (preferred)
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Represent Ryder professionally and engage effectively with employees and customers
  • Good time management and prioritization skills
  • Reliable performance and attendance record
  • Personal accountability and results-oriented mindset
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of machines, tools, and shop management systems at beginner level (preferred)
  • Valid CDL Class A license (preferred)

Regulated Tech Requirements:

  • Obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
  • Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background check, and motor vehicle check

Additional requirements may vary by location or account.

Responsibilities
  • Move heavy-duty vehicles, wash, detail, and fuel vehicles while following safety policies
  • Perform multi-point inspections and report issues
  • Maintain fuel island and perform minor facility maintenance
  • Complete Technician Training Development Program requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
