  • Certification bonus of $100 per new ASE certification, up to $700

Minimum requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Up to 1 year of mechanical experience working with diesel engines preferred
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Proficiency in English, written and verbal
  • Customer service skills
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn equipment and machinery
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems, work independently and in a team, and represent Ryder professionally
  • Good time management and attendance record
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with shop tools and systems
  • Valid CDL Class A preferred

Regulated tech requirements:

  • Obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
  • Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background check, and motor vehicle check

Additional requirements may vary by location or account.

Responsibilities include:

  • Moving and washing heavy-duty vehicles, fueling, recording fuel activity, and maintaining inventories
  • Performing multi-point inspections and minor maintenance
  • Maintaining fuel island standards, performing facility maintenance, and completing technician training
  • Other duties as assigned
