Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Up to 1 year of mechanical experience working with diesel engines preferred
• Must be 18 or older
• Proficient in English (written and verbal)
• Customer service skills
• Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment and machinery maintenance
• Ability to troubleshoot, work independently and in a team, and represent Ryder professionally
• Good time management and attendance
• Personal accountability and results-oriented mindset
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Beginner knowledge of machines, tools, and shop management systems preferred
• Valid CDL Class A preferred

Regulated Tech Requirements

• Obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background check, and motor vehicle check

Additional requirements may vary by location or account.

Responsibilities

• Move heavy-duty vehicles, wash and detail vehicles, fuel diesel, natural gas, and hybrid vehicles, and record fuel activity
• Perform multi-point inspections and report issues
• Maintain fuel island and perform minor facility maintenance
• Complete all Technician Training Program requirements, including hands-on and online training in various areas such as safety, preventive maintenance, electrical, and brakes
• Perform other duties as assigned
