Job summary

Kenan Advantage Group, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Mechanic Technician to maintain a large North American fleet, focusing on preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and safe operation.

You will work on Class 5-8 vehicles, perform inspections, and troubleshoot brakes, electrical and air systems while documenting repairs and staying compliant with DOT standards.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of diesel, fleet, truck, trailer, or heavy equipment maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Must pass background check, MVR, drug screen, and physical.
• Ability to obtain required industry certifications.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on Class 5-8 commercial vehicles and tank trailers.
• Diagnose and repair brake, suspension, electrical, and air systems.
• Complete truck and trailer inspections.
• Perform wheel-end, tire, and preventive maintenance services.
• Troubleshoot starting, charging, fuel, and HVAC systems.
• Maintain DOT compliance standards and inspection requirements.
• Complete repair orders and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Work safely in a team-oriented shop environment.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventative maintenance on Class 5-8 commercial vehicles and tank trailers
• Diagnose and repair brake, suspension, electrical, and air systems

Pay Range: 27.00-37.00 per_hour, General Benefits:

Requirements

• 1-5 years of diesel, fleet, truck, trailer, or heavy equipment preventive maintenance and repair of Class 5 - 8 commercial vehicles and tank trailer inspection
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs
• Valid Driver's License
• Must successfully pass a background check, MVR review, drug screen, and physical examination as a condition of employment due to the safety-sensitive nature of the position.
• Ability to obtain required industry certifications
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
