The Kenan Advantage Group in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Diesel Mechanic Technician II for a 12-hour shift. You will perform preventative maintenance and repair Class 5-8 trucks and tank trailers, diagnose systems, and complete inspections to keep our fleet safe and compliant.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of diesel, fleet, truck, trailer, or heavy equipment preventive maintenance.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must successfully pass a background check, MVR review, drug screen, and physical examination as a condition of employment.
• Ability to obtain required industry certifications.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on Class 5-8 commercial vehicles and tank trailers.
• Diagnose and repair brake, suspension, electrical, and air systems.
• Complete truck and trailer inspections.
• Perform wheel-end, tire, and preventive maintenance services.
• Troubleshoot starting, charging, fuel, and HVAC systems.
• Maintain DOT compliance standards and inspection requirements.
• Complete repair orders and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Work safely in a team-oriented shop environment.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventative maintenance on Class 5-8 commercial vehicles and tank trailers
• Diagnose and repair brake, suspension, electrical, and air systems
