Job summary

Miller Transportation Group is hiring a Diesel Mechanic Technician for the Miller Truck Leasing division in Amsterdam, NY. The role involves routine maintenance and repair of Class 1–8 vehicles and refrigeration units, with a Monday–Friday 12:00 PM–8:30 PM shift.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as diesel/fleet/heavy equipment mechanic is required.
• Experience or formal training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1-7 diesel tractors.
• A valid CDL (Class A or B) is required.
• You must have your own tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles, including refrigeration vehicles.
• Diagnose, document, and repair engine fault codes using company-provided OEM software, following warranty procedures.
• Repair/replace brakes, steering components, suspension, and perform alignments.
• Replace clutches and transmissions.
