Job summary

Rush Enterprises Inc. is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to service customer vehicles and equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs with guidance from manuals.

The role involves disassembly and reassembly, parts reuse evaluation, and reconditioning to ensure quality outcomes. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service facility.
• Current and valid driver license with insurability per company policy.
• CDL and Medical card are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, oil pans, transmissions and more.
• Read job orders and assess vehicle operation to plan work procedures.
• Inspect safety devices and tighten or adjust as needed.
• Lubricate parts and drive vehicles to verify compliance with specifications.
• Tag warranty parts and returns; participate in training classes.
• Build positive relationships with customers to increase satisfaction.

Skills

5 years’ experience as Class 7 & 8tech

Valid driver license with insurability

CDL and Medical card preferred

Education
