Position Purpose

We value the safety of our associates! The Diesel Technician - Class B keeps our associates safe by repairing, maintaining, and overhauling all company fleet diesel equipment to ensure safe operation and compliance standards.

Primary Responsibilities

The Diesel Technician Class B performs preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, and convertor dollies. Responsibilities include:

• Completing preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and inspections of fleet diesel equipment.
• Ensuring equipment has required licensing and registration for roadworthiness.
• Documenting repairs and maintenance through the online system.
• Installing, replacing, and repairing onboard computers.
• Inspecting brake systems, steering, wheel bearings, and other parts.
• Performing routine maintenance using hand and power tools.
• Training and guiding other mechanics.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent. 3-5 years of proven experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and refrigeration experience.
