Position Purpose

We prioritize safety! The Diesel Technician - Class B maintains and repairs fleet diesel equipment to ensure safe operations and compliance standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on fleet diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and convertor dollies.
• Ensure equipment has proper licensing and registration for roadworthiness.
• Document repairs and maintenance using the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings, and other critical parts, replacing parts as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication using hand and power tools.
• Train and guide other mechanics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. 3-5 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including PMs, tire & wheel, brakes, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and refrigeration.
