Job Description

Position Purpose: The Diesel Technician - Class B maintains fleet diesel equipment, ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on fleet diesel equipment
• Identify root causes of failures and perform repairs
• Ensure equipment licensing and registration are up to date
• Document work orders accurately in the online system
• Inspect and repair brake systems, steering, wheel bearings, and other components
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication
• Train and guide other mechanics
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and refrigeration
