Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Granby, MO, is seeking a skilled fleet maintenance technician to diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks and related equipment. The role involves preventative maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with trucking regulations.

The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus, 34.10–44.35 USD hourly pay, day-1 benefits, and a 4-day work week (Thu–Sat 5:30 pm–5:30 am; Wed 11:30 pm–5:30 am).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair.
• Experience with PMs, tires, air brakes, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting.
• Minimum 2 years in A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units).
• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings, and other components.
• Complete work orders and documentation in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Perform road call services as needed.
• Train other employees.

Ensure compliance with all State and Federal trucking regulations. Communicates and interacts with co-workers. Technicians are responsible for the documentation, completion, and keeping the work orders for all repairs and parts used daily. • Complete and perform preventative maintenance on minor repairs and standard component inspections/ repairs of fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units) as well as, identifying root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as requiredInspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition which may require replacement of partsEnsure equipment has required licensing and registration prior to being deemed as “roadworthy”Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management systemInstall, replace, and repair onboard computersUse hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoistsPerform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery requiring the use of hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoistsTrain other employeesPerforms other related duties as assigned.It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment. Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or EquivalentRequired Experience: 5 - 7 Years5+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PM‘s, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in A/C refrigeration.
