Job summary

Miller Transportation Group is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic Technician for Hartford, CT. The role offers Monday–Friday 2pm–10:30pm with competitive hourly pay and shift differential, plus paid vacation, medical benefits, 401(k) with company match, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a fleet mechanic, diesel mechanic or heavy equipment mechanic.
• Experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1-7 diesel tractors.
• Preventative maintenance and repair experience on diesel tractors.
• A valid CDL (Class A or B).
• Hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles.
• Diagnose, document, and repair engine fault codes (Company supplied OEM software) following proper warranty procedures
• Repair / Replace brakes, steering components, suspension, and perform alignments
• Replace clutches & transmissions

Our Miller Truck Leasingdivision is immediately hiring for an experienced Diesel Mechanic Technician in Hartford, CT. With over 100 years of experience and upwards of 8,000 trucks on the road, Miller currently operates over 40 Diesel Maintenance shops throughout KY, MD, PA, NJ, NY, CT, MA, and NH. You Will:

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles

You Have:

• Prior experience as a fleet mechanic, diesel mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic
• Experience or formal training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1-7 diesel tractors
• Preventative Maintenance and Repair experience on diesel tractors
• A valid CDL (Class A or B)
• Hand tools

Ability to work:

• Monday-Friday 2pm-10:30pm (B Level Tech)
