Job summary

Transervice Logistics is seeking a Diesel Mechanic/Technician in New Jersey to perform maintenance and repair on diesel engines, transmissions, and refrigeration units. The role emphasizes Thermo King/Carrier equipment experience and strong diagnostic abilities.

Starting pay is up to $40/hour based on experience, with shifts and full benefits including 100% health coverage. Applicants should have a CDL and be able to read schematics; relocation is not specified.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, A/C and hydraulic systems.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair refrigeration units and related components.
• Read complex schematics and use test equipment to verify system integrity.
• Document repairs and coordinate with customers on service needs.

We're initiating a new phase of operations andwe're hiring across all shifts!!

• This poisition requires experience in Thermo King or Carrier refrigeration units!!
• As a Reefer Mechanic, you will perform all levels of maintenance services, with the primary focus on refrigeration units such as Thermo King commerical refrigeration equipment designed for commercial trucks and trailers.
• Be able to test lines, components, and connections using electrical, mechanical and pneumatic test equipment
• Read complex schematics associated with refrigeration equipment
• Identify warrantable repairs and document orders
• Provide additional support regarding preventative maintenance and tractor trailer maintenance as required
• Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications
• Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests
• Perform system repairs to include engines, transmission, air and hydraulic systems, tires, drive-train, steering and suspension, electrical and A/C.
• Starting pay up to $40 depending on experience and skill set
• Class A or B License Preferred

DieselMechanic Requirements:

• CDL A license *** Required***
• Reefer experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Basic math skills
• Certification from a diesel mechanic trade school or a minimum of 3 years of related experience as a diesel mechanic
• Strong diagnostic skills
• Knowledge of hydraulics
• Own set of tools
• The ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 75 pounds
• A clean PSP/MVR
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Computer proficiency with MS Office and TMT
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen
