Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Senior Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly Pay: $33.28 per hour for T3 or $28.72 for T2
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Ryder Pays you up to $500 Every Quarter - Four Times Per Year
• Sign On Bonus: Ryder Pays You $1250 at 30 days and $1250 at 90 days
• Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday
• Hours: Second Shift Tuesday - Thursday 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm, Friday 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm, Saturday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or Technical Certification, Post-Secondary degree or Technical Certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance, basic diagnostics, and repairs (AC and electrical systems)
• Three (3) years or more relevant work experience preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred
• All other certifications as required by location

Additional Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy and medium-duty equipment
• Knowledge of and ability to apply computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.

Driving Requirements:

• Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
• Pass Ryder Drug Test, DOT physical, Ryder road test, and background check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

Responsibilities:

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including preventative maintenance, diagnosing complex mechanical and electronic problems, and replacing defective components
• Work unsupervised on most tasks
• Perform facility maintenance duties
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
• Utilize shop management systems and electronic documentation
• Comply with all safety and regulatory guidelines
• Mentor Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels
• Access and use maintenance documents and support operations as needed
• Complete OEM diagnostic courses as required
