Pay Range: $30.00/hr - $30.00/hr (based on experience)

Position: Diesel Technician - Class B

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 11:00am - 7:30pm

Position Purpose

The Diesel Technician - Class B ensures the safety and maintenance of fleet diesel equipment, performing repairs, preventative maintenance, and ensuring compliance standards are met.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, reefer units).
  • Ensure equipment licensing and registration are up to date.
  • Document all work in the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
  • Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
  • Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings, and other parts.
  • Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication.
  • Train and guide other mechanics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and refrigeration.
