Position Details
  • Sign On Bonus up to $10,000 (Terms Apply), $1,000 Annual Tool Allowance, Safety Boot Allowance for qualified applicants working in our NEW Fleet Maintenance Shop.
  • Hourly pay up to $30.00 per hour, based on experience
  • Monday - Friday, 11:00am - 7:30pm

Position Purpose

We prioritize safety! The Diesel Technician - Class B maintains and repairs fleet diesel equipment to ensure safe operation and compliance standards.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, reefer units)
  • Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration
  • Document work orders thoroughly in the Enterprise Asset Management system
  • Install, replace, and repair onboard computers
  • Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings, and other critical parts
  • Conduct routine maintenance using hand and power tools
  • Train and guide other mechanics
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
3-5 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including preventative maintenance, tire & wheel, brakes, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and refrigeration.
