Job summary

Suncore is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Diesel Mechanic for our Boise, ID shop on a swing shift. You will maintain and repair a fleet of construction equipment, from routine engine maintenance to hydraulic and electrical diagnostics, ensuring uptime and safe operation.

Applicants should have diesel engine proficiency, the ability to read manuals and schematics, and a proven track record in the construction industry.

Qualifications

• Proficiency diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic & electrical systems.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics and hydraulic diagrams.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in construction.
• Certification from a diesel mechanic program or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance on diesel engines and hydraulic/electrical systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in construction equipment.
• Perform inspections to identify worn or damaged parts for repair or replacement.

Diesel Mechanic - Boise, ID

Swing Shift

Suncore is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented professional to maintain and repair our construction equipment fleet at our shop in Boise, ID. With responsibilities spanning everything from routine engine maintenance to hydraulic system troubleshooting, you’ll be vital to keeping our equipment operating smoothly.

Things You’ll Do

• Conduct routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in construction equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and dump trucks
• Perform inspections to identify worn or damaged parts that need repair or replacement
• Troubleshoot and repair engine fault codes using diagnostic equipment and tools

Requirements

• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and hydraulic diagrams
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in the construction industry
• Certification from a diesel mechanic program or equivalent experience is preferred
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
