Job summary

DCS Asset Maintenance is seeking a skilled full-time Diesel Mechanic with preferred snowplow experience to maintain and repair trucks, diesel equipment, and snow removal machinery. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, and support snow operations with field service when required.

The ideal candidate brings experience with heavy trucks (diesel and gas), knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, welding ability, and a willingness to travel locally.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training in mechanics preferred.
• Experience repairing heavy trucks (diesel and gas).
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Welding experience required.
• Must travel locally for field service calls.
• DOT drug test and background check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline-powered trucks and snow removal equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime during snow events.
• Repair and maintain hydraulic and electrical systems, including plows, salt spreaders, and related attachments.
• Conduct emergency field service repairs as needed during snow operations.
• Assist with fabrication, welding, and modifications to equipment when required.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state safety requirements.
• Keep tools, equipment, and shop areas clean and safe.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support snow operations.
