Custom Truck One Source in Orlando is seeking a skilled Heavy Truck Diesel Mechanic to perform full- lifecycle maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a diverse fleet of commercial trucks and heavy equipment. Ideal candidates have strong mechanical aptitude, experience with Class 6-8 trucks, ability to read schematics, and a commitment to shop safety. CDL is a plus; vocational training or military mechanical background encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: identify faults using diagnostic tools.
• Chassis & Powertrain Repair: service and rebuild major truck systems.
• Emissions Systems: service emissions components and EGR systems.
• PTO & Hydraulics: install and repair PTO gearboxes and hydraulic systems.
• Electrical Systems: diagnose 12V/24V circuits and EC modules.

Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) is a 30+ year industry leader with 40+ locations, 2,600 employees, and a 10,000+ unit fleet serving utility, telecom, rail, and construction markets.**Mechanics of all Levels** with backgrounds in medium- and heavy-duty trucks, diesel engines, heavy equipment, refuse vehicles, buses, cranes, hydraulic systems, utility equipment, and related machinery.**Job Description**We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Truck Diesel Mechanic to join our service team. In this role, you will perform full-lifecycle maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a diverse fleet of commercial trucks and heavy equipment.The ideal candidate possesses a strong mechanical aptitude and deep technical knowledge of complex vehicle systems, from bumper to bumper.******Key Responsibilities****Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:** Utilize advanced diagnostic software and tools to accurately identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic faults.**Chassis & Powertrain Repair:** Inspect, repair, and rebuild truck chassis components, steering, suspension, and braking systems.**Emissions Systems:** Service and repair critical emissions components, with a strong focus on EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) systems, coolers, and valves.**PTO & Hydraulics:** Troubleshoot, install, and repair Power Take-Off (PTO) gearboxes and integrated hydraulic systems (pumps, cylinders, valves, and winches).**Electrical Systems:** Read schematics to diagnose and repair complex 12V/24V electrical circuits, wiring harnesses, starting/charging systems, and electronic control modules.******Qualifications & Skills**Valid Driver’s Licenses (CDL a plus)Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic working on Class 6,7 or 8 heavy trucks.High mechanical aptitude and a strong commitment to shop safety and compliance.Vocational/Technical school graduates and military veterans with specialized mechanical training are highly encouraged to apply.CTOS offers competitive pay based on skills and experience, paid vacation, sick, and holidays, 401k match, healthcare, dental, vison, prescription insurance, uniforms, boot allowance, ongoing training and more.**Equal Opportunity Employer**Custom Truck One Source is an Equal Opportunity Employer is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
