CNC Oilfield Services is seeking skilled diesel mechanics in Frierson, LA to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment. The role emphasizes hands-on diagnostics, engine and braking system work, and service on trucks, with a requirement to respond to callouts.

Qualifications

  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems.
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics.
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 150 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods in an industrial environment.

  • Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.

Responsibilities

  • Running diagnostic tests on vehicles.
  • Analyzing diagnostic test results.
  • Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
  • Inspecting vehicle lighting systems.
  • Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
  • Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks.
  • Conducts safety checks on vehicles.
  • Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.
  • Maintaining a parts inventory.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records of services and repairs.
  • Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows safety regulations.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop, work area and equipment.
  • Must be willing to work a callout schedule.

Pay Range
  • Entry-Level Mechanics: Starting at $22.00 per hour
  • Experienced Diesel Mechanics: Up to $35.00 per hour, based on experience, certifications, and skills
Mechanic Duties & Responsibilities
  • Running diagnostic tests on vehicles

Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
  • ASE Diesel Certification advantageous
  • Valid Chauffeur's License, CDL preferred
  • Air Brakes Certification
  • Air Conditioning Certification
