Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III) to perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment in a safe, professional manner in Oklahoma. You’ll help train junior techs, manage work orders, and support customer service excellence.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on repair experience, ownership of essential tools, and ability to lift up to 45 lbs.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Strong mechanical background knowledge of engines and systems.
• Superior customer service and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on complex rental equipment (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, diesel).
• Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and work orders daily.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance when required; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist with pickup and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
