Job summary

Garelick Farms Dairy is hiring a Diesel Mechanic & Reefer Tech to support our dairy fleet and refrigeration units. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and keep trucks and trailers running safely in varying temperatures.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of diesel mechanic, fleet maintenance, or related experience.
• Experience with heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Refrigeration/Reefer experience is preferred (not required).
• Class A or B CDL is a plus (not required).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crawl, and walk throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures and shop environments.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when needed.
• Pass pre-employment screenings (drug, background, etc).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and vehicle inspections.
• Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units.
• Repair brakes, steering, suspension, driveline, electrical, and air systems.
• Use diagnostic software and equipment to troubleshoot issues.
• Complete work orders accurately and timely.
• Work safely in accordance with DOT, company, and safety regulations.
• Assist and mentor less experienced technicians when needed.
• Support facility maintenance projects as required.
