Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Master Level Rebuild Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Benefits and Compensation
  • Hourly Pay: $33.00 per hour
  • Certification Bonus of $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700
  • Quarterly Bonus: Ryder Pays you up to $500 Every Quarter - Four Times Per Year
  • Sign On Bonus: Ryder Pays You $2000 at 30 days and $2000 at 90 days
  • Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, Weekends OFF
  • Hours: First Shift 6:00 am – 4:30 pm

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Vocational or Technical Certification (preferred)
  • Basic tools required
  • Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience (preferred)
  • Valid CDL CLASS A (preferred)
  • Other certifications as required by location
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to perform all T3 tasks
  • Advanced diagnostic and repair skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Availability for shift work/weekends/on-call
  • ASE Certifications (preferred)
  • Proficiency with diagnostic equipment
  • Minimum tool requirements
  • Ability to road test vehicles
  • Ability to coach/mentor others
  • Must be able to drive Ryder vehicles and obtain CDL within 6 months
  • Pass drug test, DOT physical, road test, background check
Responsibilities
  • Complete OEM training and courses
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems
  • Assist roadside breakdowns remotely
  • Perform facility maintenance
  • Interact with customers and drivers
  • Mentor other technicians
  • Utilize maintenance documentation and compliance guidelines
