Job summary

WM is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for our Montrose, CO site. The role covers diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle systems in a repair shop with a Sun–Fri schedule from 10 PM to 6:30 AM.

You will handle electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems, and help ensure safety and reliability across our fleet. Requires at least 2 years of mechanic experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and medical exam.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Be over 18 years of age and legally able to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements with or without accommodations.
• Successfully complete pre-employment drug screen and medical exam.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs for vehicle repairs and new parts.
• Work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs) and respond to service calls for emergencies.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Document parts usage and repair times; assist senior mechanics on projects.
• Review and complete repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S / Canada is $21 - 22. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
