Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech II) in Tucson to maintain and repair rental equipment, documenting work orders thoroughly and safely. You will demonstrate equipment to customers and assist with equipment deliveries and pickups, contributing to exceptional service.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and 1–2 years of repair experience with vehicles/equipment. Tools ownership and basic schematic knowledge are needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• 1–2 years of experience repairing/maintaining vehicles and equipment.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair of rental equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) on a daily basis.
• Demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
