Swift Transportation Company is seeking a Diesel Mechanic in Richmond, VA to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on tractors, trailers, and related equipment. The role requires a valid driver’s license and a comprehensive background check, with pre-employment hair drug screening.

• Hair drug screening required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Complete a quality preventative maintenance inspection and repairs on all company owned equipment, to include tractors, trailers, refrigerated units and support equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment to OEM/DOT/Swift specifications.
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform repairs for all equipment.
• Disassemble, repair and re-assemble Heavy Truck & Trailer components.
• Perform tire maintenance including repairs, failure analysis, coding, identification.
