Job summary

KAG in Long Beach, CA is seeking Diesel Mechanics at Apprentice through HM183 levels to maintain and repair fleet vehicles, including tank trailers, in a fast-paced shop environment.

Starting pay ranges from $35 to $37 per hour with relocation reimbursement and extensive training, paid benefits, and growth opportunities.

Candidates should have valid driver’s license and relevant certifications, and be prepared to join a team dedicated to safety and FMCSA compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• 1–5 years of heavy-duty vehicle maintenance/repair experience.
• Air Brake Certification per FMSCR 396.25 or ability to obtain.
• EPA 609 certification or ability to obtain.
• HM183 inspector certification or eligibility to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on Class 5–8 vehicles and tank trailers.
• Operate and train on maintenance software to create and manage work orders.
• Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and safety standards.
• Support teardown, inspection, and preventive maintenance activities.
