Diesel Mechanic Needed for Growing Dealership in Chippewa, Pa!

Join Bowser Automotive Inc as a Diesel Service Technician in Chippewa. The technician will be responsible for repairs, inspections, and maintenance on medium-duty vehicles, maintaining necessary licenses and certifications to comply with current mandates and technologies.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Test vehicle parts and systems for correct operation.
  • Identify mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment.
  • Follow checklists to ensure comprehensive vehicle checks.
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tune-ups, transmission repairs, and work on electronic and air conditioning systems.
  • Replace, repair, or retrofit worn parts.
  • Assist Service Manager and Advisors in customer interactions.
  • Explain automotive issues to customers as needed.
  • Maintain all required training mandated by the dealership.
  • Maintain personal tools necessary for repairs.
  • Follow government regulations and dealership safety policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Valid state inspection and emission licenses.
  • Valid CDL driver’s license in good standing.
  • Ability to multitask and exercise good judgment.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand, walk, bend, and stoop for approximately 8 hours daily.
  • Lift up to 70 lbs.
