Job summary

Texas Pride Fuels is seeking a skilled diesel maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on our truck fleet. You will inspect, diagnose, and service heavy equipment, ensuring safety and reliability in a fast-paced oil-field environment.

The position offers $25-$28 per hour, overtime, a $300 sign-on bonus, paid travel time, per diem, lodging, and a 401(k) with company match after one year. Must travel to Midland and other Texas locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Pass a drug, alcohol, and background check.
• Pass a DOT physical or "Fit for Duty" physical exam.
• Must be insurable to drive company vehicles.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with fuel pump equipment and hoses.
• Familiarity with DOT rules for commercial vehicle maintenance and compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to meet daily physical requirements of the work.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on vehicles and heavy components (oil changes, filters, transmissions, AC, lights, brakes, etc.).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per OSHA standards.
• Communicate with drivers and management about vehicle maintenance.
• Accurately record maintenance activity on company documents.
• Monitor Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) for various vehicle types.
• Handle purchasing functions, such as issuing purchase orders.

Job Overview

Pay: $25-28 per hour, overtime, sign‑on bonus, per diem, and paid travel time to and from the hitch (5‑7 hours). Benefits include paid training; paid time off in the first year; medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; and a 401(k) plan with company match. Schedule: 15 days on and 6 days off, 85‑90 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs: change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, AC, air brakes, lights, horn, lift and install heavy components, and inspect vehicles for mechanical deficiencies.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Communicate with drivers and management regarding vehicle and equipment maintenance.
• Accurately record all maintenance activity on company documentation.
• Monitor Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) for commercial vehicles (tractor‑trailer, bobtail, fuel trailer, and pick‑up trucks).
• Handle purchasing functions, such as issuing purchase orders.

Compensation and Benefits

• $25‑28 per hour.
• Time and a half pay for hours over 40 in a work week.
