Job summary

Texas Pride Fuels Limited is seeking a maintenance technician for diesel vehicles in Midland, TX. You will inspect, repair, and maintain trucks and heavy equipment while ensuring safety and compliance with DOT rules. Travel to multiple work sites and coordinate with drivers and management are essential.

The role includes overtime, sign-on bonus, per diem, and company lodging. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Monitor DVIR for commercial vehicles.
• Handle purchasing tasks including issuing purchase orders.

Job description

Overview

• $25-28/hour+ overtime + sign-on bonus + per diem + paid travel time to and from hitch (5-7 hours).
• Benefits: Paid training, PTO in first year, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401k with company match.
• Schedule: 15 days on/6days off, 85-90hours/week.
• Work: Maintain service operations by inspecting, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and heavy diesel trucks.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs: change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, AC, air brakes, lights, horn, lift and install heavy components and inspection of vehicle for mechanical deficiencies, etc.
• Keep a clean and safe work environment that complies with OSHA standards.
• Maintain communication with drivers and management regarding maintenance and service of vehicles and equipment.
• Accurately recordall maintenance activity on company documentation.
• MonitorDaily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) for commercial vehicles (Tractor Trailer, Bobtail, Fuel Trailer and Pick-up Trucks)
• Perform all purchasing functions, such as issuing purchase orders (PO’s), etc.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Satisfactorily pass a drug, alcohol, and background check.
• Pass a DOT physical or "Fit for Duty" physical exam.
• Must be insurable to drive company vehicles.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Experienced with fuel pump equipment and hoses.
• Be familiar with DOT and other rules and regulations pertainingto commercial vehicle maintenance and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to speak, write and read the English language.
• Ability to handle the daily physical requirements of the work.

Compensation and Benefits

• $25-$28/hour
• Time and a half pay for hours over 40 in a work week.
• $300 sign‑on bonus.
• Paid travel time to and from hitch (5-7 hours).
