Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to perform maintenance on recycling equipment, compactors and light trucks to maximize safe and productive operations.

Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical problems, performing routine maintenance, replacing worn parts and ensuring accurate documentation of repairs and times. The role emphasizes safety and a collaborative, customer-focused work environment at WIN Waste Innovations.

Qualifications

• Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED with 1 year of related equipment maintenance and repair; OR 4 years of related experience.
• Valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine necessary repairs.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on light trucks, compactors and recycling equipment.
• Repair or replace components such as pistons, rods, gears, valves and bearings.
• Overhaul or replace blowers, generators, distributors, starters and pumps.
• Read vehicle condition reports and repair orders; communicate with supervisors for clarification.
• Document parts usage and labor times on work orders.
• Perform plumbing and electrical work related to hydraulic systems.
• Follow safety policies and procedures; perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain a positive work environment with customers, vendors, co-workers and management.
