Job Description

Equipment Savers is currently seeking a full-time Diesel Mechanic for our Johnstown, CO location. Duties include working on fleet delivery vehicles and customer vehicles. Maintains diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance, correcting vehicle deficiencies, and performing adjustments and alignments. Keeps detailed records of maintenance activities.

Essential Duties:
  1. Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform repairs and maintenance on equipment. Engine diagnostics experience is a plus.
  2. Weld equipment as needed.
  3. Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
  4. Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
  5. Test repaired equipment for proper performance, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and regulations.
  6. Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Possess the strength and stamina to work with heavy equipment and in awkward positions.
  8. Work independently or as part of a team.
  9. Keep up with evolving technology and updates.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  1. Experience with oil and fuel trucks is a plus.
  2. Must supply own tools.
  3. Ability to recognize vehicle maintenance needs and interpret policies, procedures, maps, and route directions.
  4. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  5. Overtime may be required.
