Equipment Savers is currently seeking a full-time Diesel Mechanic for our Johnstown, CO location. Duties include working on fleet delivery vehicles and customers. Maintains diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle deficiencies; adjusting and alignments; keeping records.

Essential Duties:
  1. Inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing repairs and maintenance on equipment. Engine diagnostics a plus.
  2. Welds equipment as needed.
  3. Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
  4. Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
  5. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets the manufacturer's specifications and legislated regulations.
  6. Able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  7. Must possess the strength and stamina required to work with heavy equipment and work in awkward positions.
  8. The ability to work alone or as a team.
  9. The ability to keep up with changing technology and updates.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  1. Experience working with oil and fuel trucks a plus.
  2. Must supply own tools.
  3. Ability to recognize vehicle maintenance needs; ability to interpret policies and procedures, maps, and route directions.
  4. Overtime sometimes required.
  5. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
