Job summary

United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental provider, invites you to join as a Service Technician Intern. You will learn about the equipment United Rentals rents and their applications, and you will perform both manual and maintenance tasks to support the branch operations.

You will gain hands-on experience, assist seasoned mechanics, and, with the right degree or certification, have the potential to move into service technician roles within our Service Department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and pursuing technical degree or certification
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Strong mechanical aptitude with foundational knowledge of tools and equipment
• Self-motivated with a strong drive and sense of urgency
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Learn the various types of equipment United Rentals rents and their applications
• Perform manual and maintenance tasks to support the branch operation
• Provide labor assistance to seasoned mechanics
• Deliver exceptional customer service to customers
• Enter full-time employment paths in service technician roles after degree/certification.
