Job summary

Capital City Equipment Group is seeking experienced diesel technicians for Ames, Des Moines, and Story City to join our family-owned team. You will diagnose and repair diesel engines and hydraulic systems on compact construction equipment and tractors, perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot efficiently, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Due to expansion we are looking to hire experienced diesel technicians for locations in Ames, Des Moines, and our newest location in Story City.

What You’ll Do:
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines and hydraulic systems in compact construction equipment and compact tractors
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections
  • Efficiently troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience with diesel engines (preferred, but willing to train the right candidate)

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Ability to lift 40+ lbs and work in a shop environment
