Job summary

Envirowaste Services Group is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic in Charlotte, NC to maintain and repair our fleet of heavy trucks. You will diagnose diesel engines, perform preventive maintenance, and keep accurate service records to ensure peak performance.

Role requires a valid driver's license and the ability to work under pressure in varying weather. CDL is a plus, and prior waste-industry exposure is advantageous. Competitive pay and benefits are offered along with ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with Diesel engines and diagnostic experience.
• Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• A valid Driver’s License is required; CDL is a plus but not mandatory.
• Clean driving record is essential.
• Experience in the waste industry or vacuum truck experience is a plus.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular maintenance on a fleet of heavy trucks and vehicles.
• Order parts and manage inventory to ensure timely repairs.
• Track equipment usage and maintenance records.
• Assist lead mechanic with complex repairs and troubleshooting.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs.
• Work under pressure and in varied weather conditions.
