Company has been in business since 1932 providing delicious snacks and dips across the world. Due to continued growth and expansion into the market, we are currently accepting applications for Mechanic to work in our facility in Frankfort, IN.

Compensation

  • Hourly Pay $29.36-$37.76 per hour, based on experience.
  • $3,000 sign-on bonus, $1,000 after 90 days, 180 days, and 360 days
  • $800 annual tool allowance.
  • Overtime paid after 40 hours per week
  • Typical work week is 40-50 hours per week
  • Weekly paychecks

Work Schedule

  • 4-day work weeks, including at least one weekend day per week (Saturday or Sunday).
  • Scheduled 4-day work days are consecutive. Holiday work by volunteer only, not required.
  • Typically work 10-12 hours per day. More overtime work is typically available, if desired.
  • 24/7 operation with staggered start times on off-shift hours (2nd/3rd shift). Usually 3pm and/or 11pm start times.
  • Work schedule may change based on business needs; must be flexible with work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative and as-needed maintenance of diesel trucks and electronic vehicles
  • Properly operate the mobile service truck and attend to truck inventory
  • Interpret and follow work orders and technical manuals
  • Travel to locations to perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with management, providing them with detailed breakdowns of service requirements and costs.
  • Maintain schedules and document completed preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance; ensure work meets manufacturer's specifications according to FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations)
  • Maintaining parts and yard organization (with direction from operations management) to ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a diesel mechanic required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working on air brakes required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience managing preventative maintenance program on diesel engines required.
  • Knowledge of air, electronic, braking, and suspension systems as well as general mechanical operation and/or light body repair required.
  • Familiar with FHWA (Federal Highway Administration), and FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations), BIT (Basic Inspection of Terminals) inspections.
  • High School Diploma or GED (Preferred).
  • Must be able to lift 70 pounds.
  • Candidate must provide his/her own tools. New tool set can be provided in place of sign-on bonus. Conditions apply.
  • Must have a valid and current US driver's license; no CDL required.
