Job summary

Bee Green Recycling & Supply seeks an experienced mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet and equipment in our Oakland area shop. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and execute repairs under the Lead Mechanic's direction.

The role requires strong welding skills, diesel/hydraulic knowledge, and at least five years of heavy equipment experience. On-site work environment includes a comprehensive benefits package and safety focus.

Qualifications

• Five years of relevant mechanical experience with diesel engines and heavy equipment.
• Welding experience required.
• Must be at least 18 and eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and preventative vehicle maintenance.
• Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, and service equipment per Lead Mechanic.
• Work in the in-house mechanic shop under Lead Mechanic supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

THE POSITION:

Bee Green is a family‑owned and operated company that provides recycling services, retail storefront, debris hauling, and delivery service of materials to the East Bay Area and surrounding cities. Our mechanics are responsible for the general maintenance of company vehicles and equipment, as well as timely diagnosis and repairs of damaged equipment. If you join our team, you will be working in our in‑house mechanic shop and under the direction of our Lead Mechanic to maintain all phases of equipment maintenance and repair.

Job Functions:

• Perform all essential job functions in accordance with the Company’s stated mission and Core Values.


• Perform standard & preventative vehicle maintenance.


• Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service equipment as assigned by the Lead Mechanic.


• Perform other duties as requested by Lead Mechanic.

• Grinders – High Speed & Slow Speed.

Position Requirements

• At least five years of relevant mechanical experience working with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy equipment.


• Must have welding experience.


• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.

$30 - $40 an hour
