Job summary

Wind River Environmental is seeking experienced Diesel Technicians to keep our fleet on the road and operating safely across the region. This role focuses on hands-on diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance of medium and heavy‑duty trucks and specialty equipment.

You’ll troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and emissions equipment, coordinate parts, respond to road calls, and document work in Fleetio. CDL is preferred and a strong work ethic is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in diesel, fleet, or heavy equipment maintenance.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability.
• Experience with medium/heavy-duty trucks and hydraulics systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Welding/fabrication experience is a plus.
• CDL license strongly preferred; experience with fleet software is a plus.

• Maintain compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards.

Wind River Environmental is looking for experienced Diesel Technicians to help keep our hardworking fleet on the road and operating safely. This is not a dealership environment with brand-new trucks and repetitive PM work. We operate a demanding fleet of vacuum trucks, pump trucks, roll-offs, and specialty equipment that supports essential environmental services operations across the region. The equipment works hard — and our mechanics do too.

We’re looking for mechanics who can troubleshoot independently, solve problems in the field and shop, and take pride in keeping critical equipment running. If you enjoy variety, autonomy, and hands-on work where your experience truly matters, we want to talk with you.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in diesel, fleet, or heavy equipment maintenance
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
• Experience working on medium/heavy-duty trucks and hydraulic systems
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record (CDL license strongly preferred)
• Experience with fleet maintenance software preferred
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

Salary Description
