Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service is seeking a Mechanic/Heavy Duty Vehicle Technician to diagnose and repair diesel engines, powertrain components, air brakes, steering and suspension systems, electrical systems, and diesel emission systems.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM start, with an hourly wage of $20.00–$33.00 based on experience, plus a $2.00 per hour shift differential for overnight positions; OT paid time and a half after 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years technical instruction in diesel or auto mechanics preferred.
• CDL Class A license required or willing to complete company CDL training.

Responsibilities

• Use scan tool and laptop technology.
• Follow instructions from shift leader.
• Work independently and/or with team.
• Perform routine truck inspections and maintenance of fleet equipment.
• Maintain clean and effective work environment.
• Must have own tools or be able to obtain tools to complete duties.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
