United Rentals, Inc. in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech II) to perform maintenance and repairs on rental equipment. You will maintain work orders and demonstrate equipment to customers, while delivering exceptional service.

Required are a HS diploma, valid license, and 1–2 years of relevant repair experience, plus owning necessary tools. This is a safety-sensitive role with growth opportunities within the Service Department.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Own tools applicable to position.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair of rental equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) daily.
• Demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
