Job summary

Atlantic Emergency Solutions in Greenville, NC is seeking a diesel mechanic to service fire trucks and ambulances, with a Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. schedule and overtime available.

The work is performed in a clean, organized shop with opportunities to contribute to critical local services. The role involves inspecting and repairing diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and more; performing preventative maintenance; and ensuring vehicles are ready for service while adhering to

Qualifications

• Diesel mechanic experience, preferably with heavy duty or emergency vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening

Responsibilities

• Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, brakes, suspension, and air systems
• Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on fire trucks and ambulances
• Accurately documenting repairs, labor time, and parts usage
• Completing safety inspections and ensuring vehicles are ready for service
• Maintaining a clean, safe work area and following OSHA and company safety standards
• Assisting other technicians as needed and working as part of a team
