Avis Budget Group is hiring a Diesel Mechanic to perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of cargo vans and box trucks. You’ll assist experienced mechanics, handle oil changes and tire work, and may travel to vehicle locations to complete repairs.

The role requires at least 2 years of heavy/medium duty repair experience, a CDL, and at least one ASE certification with potential to earn two more within a year. On-site work only; 21+ and US work authorization.

Formación

• CDL Class A/B/C is required.
• At least 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs/diagnostics on heavy- and medium-duty equipment.
• 1 ASE certification; ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within first year.
• Knowledge of ASE program areas: Engine Repair, Drive Train/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, HVAC, Engine Performance, Diesel.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather; on-site work only.
• Must own a complete set of repair tools.
• Basic computer skills (typing, data entry).
• Lift up to 50 pounds; frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing.
• Must be 21+ and legally authorized to work in the US; able to obtain DOT medical clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out repairs and routine maintenance on cargo vans and box trucks.
• Perform oil changes, lubrication, tire repairs, and potential warranty work.
• Assist senior mechanics with complex repair processes.
• Travel to vehicles to perform repairs as needed; may drive Budget Truck on public roads.
