Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management in Gardena, CA seeks a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician A to repair and maintain tractors, trailers, and related equipment at the Reyes Beverage Group shop. Shifts are 2:00PM–10:30PM, Monday–Friday, with pay between $37 and $42 per hour depending on experience.

The role requires a tool kit, valid CDL (A) preferred, and strong safety compliance. Benefits include PTO, health coverage, 401K, and bonus incentives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of related experience.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid CDL (Class A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record per DOT.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts).
• Complete documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable.
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices.
• This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years.
