Job summary

SavATree is seeking a skilled Mechanic to ensure all equipment and vehicles are ready and operating efficiently through preventive maintenance and repairs. You will work with a team of trained professionals to coordinate repairs, review inspection reports, order parts, and train field staff.

Ideal candidates have experience with small and diesel engines, aerial lifts, and spray equipment, plus their own basic tools and CDL is preferred. A strong safety culture and teamwork are core to SavATree.

Qualifications

• Experience in small engine repair and two-stroke engine maintenance.
• Diesel engine repair and maintenance experience.
• Experience operating and maintaining aerial lift (bucket) trucks.
• Experience with spray equipment, tanks, and pumps.
• Your own basic tools for engine repair and maintenance.
• Ability to read and comprehend instruction manuals, diagnostic charts, and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative maintenance and major repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Coordinating repairs and maintenance with Managers and field specialists.
• Reviewing Vehicle Inspection Reports to prioritize work and address issues promptly.
• Ordering and receiving parts and supplies, completing required paperwork for the office and vendors.
• Training field specialists on equipment maintenance and safe vehicle operation whenever possible.
• Maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment in the shop and yard.
