Job summary

Summertown Metals is seeking a self-motivated diesel mechanic to join the maintenance department in Summertown, TN. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm, with a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and more.

Responsibilities include routine and preventative maintenance on trucks and equipment, proactive repairs, and safety-first practices to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated diesel mechanic capable of following a schedule.
• Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7am–5pm.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, forklifts, moffetts, and other company equipment.
• Repair and maintenance work following the schedule; escalate if emergencies disrupt production.
• Inspect equipment and replace defective parts to ensure top operating condition.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems and equipment.
• Focus on completing jobs efficiently with minimal open projects.
• Conduct annual inspections on trucks and trailers.
• Advise on tools or equipment needed for safe and efficient operations.
